student EUropean simulation is an academic club dedicated to students who are passionate about current events on the world stage and about negotiations as means of non-formal education and personal development in this field.
Founded in November 2010, sEUs addresses secondary school students and University students at all levels, especially those interested in International Relations, European Studies, Security Studies, Economy, Law and History.
The club is active at Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Is to promote the European culture and identity towards acknowledging and assuming the European active citizenship, by building a youth community with shared interests in international relations, human rights and democratic principles.
We support this mission by organizing specific activities on a local level, such as simulations of the decision-making process in different international bodies, roundtables and workshops on related topics, training sessions and film screenings.
We aim to
Connect the students with practitioners and researchers in international relations and political science.
Create a non-formal environment for practically applying the information apprehended in class for international relations and political science students.
Organize support and mentoring activities for our members.
Complementarity: our activities are extra-curricular and act as support activities for academic classes.
Volunteering: our membership is granted on a voluntary basis.
Equality: our members vote weight equally in matters concerning the club’s functioning and internal regulation.
Non-discrimination: membership is acquired and maintained irrespective of race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability etc.
Networking: our members and alumni are constantly connected for mentorship programs and professional guidance.
